Rutherford County - TN (05/30/2023)   Judge Travis Lampley presided over his second Safe Baby Court (SBC) graduation on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in Courtroom A in the Juvenile Services Center in Murfreesboro.   

The Rutherford County Safe Baby Court is the only court in the United States that exclusively handles cases where children are placed with relatives or family friends while their parents work to regain custody thus preventing foster care.

National Correctional Officers and Employees Week is from May 7 to 13 this year.

Former President Ronald Reagan established this week on May 5, 1984.  He saw the need to create a week for correctional staff to thank them for their services and celebrate their contributions to society.
